Scribbles 5

This mornings marker sketch. My marker sucks. I'm ordering one later that might actually be capable of creating a fine line! Doh!

Finished with a touch of Mucha! ;)

Good Greif

My son Devin loves the Peanuts comic strip. Last night he asked me if I could draw Charlie Brown the way Charles Schultze did. I tried my best and, it made him very happy. This was the results. It is cool to see kids still enjoying this comic strip. I used to love it myself when I was his age.

Scribles 5

This is a sketch I did for my cousin yesterday Joanne Yoshiko. I did not have any reference images to work off of and I have not seen her in years. I thought it would be a neat exercise
to work 100% off memory. I remember her as being very strong and bold so
I inked with dark black and very thick lines. I also put her in a suit
to symbolize her strength and wisdom. This morning I added color in Photoshop.

Afternoon sketch. I inked it with a black ink-brush then changed the color tone in Photoshop.

This mornings sketch. I picked up a paint pen yesterday and figured I would try my hand at inking. :D

Here it is colored in Photoshop.

Random Thoughts

I was just thinking about the quote from Edmund Burke: "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing."
Since I don't believe in a black and white, cut and dry, good and evil. (George Bush Jr. thought he was doing good and, his actions where good. I think at this point most of us agree his actions where not all that "good". )
Plus "good" is a point of view really, killing people is bad - ergo; evil but, sending the soldiers off to kill people can be looked upon as "good".
So, I decided to word Burke's saying in a way that made sense to me.
"Negative actions prevail when rational people fail to act..." - Mark Holmes

Yes, these are the things I think about sometimes....

Community 5K Run for Autism Awareness

Hey People,I'm
running the 5k for autism awareness again this year. Last year you
helped me raise over 200 dollars for this great cause. I'm hoping this
year we can top that. I'm also hoping to beat last years time of 26:04.
Just click on the link and donate. I will run the best I can but, I need help with the donations.
